Wonder if this practice of twice a semester comments home will fade away as parents and students and teachers find themselves working more closely to facilitate student learning?
Until then, I am happy to be forced to do something that I think is good: write to parents to tell them how great I think their kids are and what I know about them and their learning styles. It does take up my whole day, but it is good, fun and satisfying work.
